Mountain Summer in the Alpine Village

Summer, Sun and Fun on the Alp

We have built a village for you amidst a romantic stone pine forest. The motto of the Turracher Höhe Alpine Village is "Natural Living".

Many surprises await you in summer 2010!

Diversity on the Mountain

The Turracher Höhe at almost 1,800 m elevation is a perfect place for mountain lovers from the end of May to November. The interplay of mountain and lake are characteristic of the Turracher Höhe. The three idyllic mountain lakes that make the Turracher Höhe so unique are the Turracher Lake, Schwarzsee Lake and Grünsee Lake.

Austria’s Largest Stone Pine Forest

Austria’s largest stone pine forest spreads out around the Turracher Höhe. The stone pines are a special and rare species of conifer. Its habitat is tied to the altitudes around the timberline. They are particularly robust, extremely resistant to cold, grow slowly and can live up to a 1000 years.
